NAS Sign-in & Administrator

For everyday use, confirm your current NAS account. The app keeps one separate administrator for account settings and license maintenance.

If your sign-in screen offers 使用 NAS 登录 (Use NAS sign-in), follow the confirmation flow below. The direct port uses the administrator password. For an older installation still requiring binding, use its existing administrator credentials and check the installed version; do not delete data to recreate an identity.

Sign in with an NAS account

  1. Open Track Factory from the fnOS desktop and click 使用 NAS 登录 (Use NAS sign-in).
  2. Check the displayed account and click (Confirm sign-in).
  3. Your first confirmation creates an ordinary app account and opens the workspace. No initial administrator password, password change, or administrator binding is required.

Ordinary accounts can use only folders permitted to the current NAS user, and view or cancel their own processing jobs. Output-file visibility still follows the permissions of the chosen NAS folder. Ordinary accounts cannot manage administrator settings or licensing. Being an fnOS system administrator does not automatically grant the app administrator role.

The same NAS identity keeps its existing ordinary account. After signing out, confirm sign-in again; refreshing does not sign you back in automatically. NAS sessions work only through the unified gateway, not the direct port. If the shared app license is unavailable, ask the app administrator to purchase or activate it.

First administrator sign-in

First startup automatically creates the sole administrator, named admin by default.

The readable Chinese text contains 用户名 (username) and 初始密码 (initial password).
(Administrator sign-in) on the gateway page, or open the direct port, then enter those credentials.
(Change initial password), enter the current password, a new password, and its confirmation. (Save and enter workspace).

The new password needs at least 10 characters, at most 256 bytes, and must differ from the current password. Changing it removes the initial-credential file while keeping the existing license, folder grants, and jobs. On upgrade, the old JSON bootstrap is read and converted to readable text in the app folder root; the existing administrator and password hash are retained.

Administrator maintenance

  • Change a password: open (Account Settings → Change Password), enter the current password, new password, and confirmation, then click (Save Password).
(License Center) for trials, purchases, activation, account entitlement recovery, and license backups.
  • Forgotten password: the device manager can use fnOS (App → Configure → Reset administrator password). Leaving it blank preserves the password. This does not create another administrator or delete business data.

Wrong passwords are rate limited to five attempts per minute. Sessions last up to 30 days; restarting the app requires signing in again. Password and administrator-binding changes revoke old sessions.

Associate an NAS account with the administrator

Ordinary NAS use does not require this. It associates one NAS identity with the existing sole administrator and never creates a second administrator.

  1. Sign in with the administrator password and complete the initial password change.
(Account Settings → NAS Account) and check the current fnOS identity.
(Confirm administrator access for this NAS account), and click 绑定当前 NAS 账号 (Bind current NAS account).

Future confirmations of that NAS identity sign in as the app administrator. Unbinding requires password verification and explicit confirmation to remove the administrator association. An unbound identity is not automatically recreated as an ordinary account; use the administrator password or explicitly bind it again. Other NAS identities can continue signing in as ordinary users.

Direct port

The default is http://NAS-LAN-IP:8692/; use the port chosen during installation. This entry uses the administrator username and password and can process already-granted folders. Grant new fnOS folders through the unified gateway.

For installation, changing ports, and choosing folders, see fnOS Install & Directory Access.
