Output Formats & Files

Review paths, names, counts and cut points in 输出预览 (Output preview); files are created only after explicit confirmation. Check actual results in 处理记录 (Processing history) after the job ends. A valid plan does not mean splitting has finished.

Choosing an output format

FormatProcessingTypical use
M4A · AACDirect AAC stream copy for AAC inputs, or AAC 192 kbps re-encodingAudiobook chapters, phones and common players
MP3 · 192 kbpsRe-encodingCar stereos and older players
FLAC · 无损 (Lossless)Lossless encodingSplit files in a lossless codec
WAV · 24-bit24-bit PCM encodingFurther editing
  • Audiobooks default to M4A; albums default to FLAC. The dropdown only lists formats available in the current engine.
  • 原音质直切 (Original-quality direct copy) appears only when all source audio is AAC and output is M4A, and is checked by default. It copies the audio stream without re-encoding. Frame boundaries can slightly affect cut points; output duration is still checked. Uncheck it to re-encode to AAC when you need more precise cuts.
  • Converting lossy MP3/AAC to FLAC or WAV does not restore lost quality. Choosing lossless output does not prove the source was lossless.

Output folder and file naming

  1. Click 浏览 (Browse) beside 输出目录 (Output folder) and choose a folder with read/write permission. In the app's folder browser, enter it and click 选择此目录 (Choose this folder).
  2. Click 预览并切割 (Preview & split). The dialog shows the new job path to be created, every filename and its start/end times.
  3. Check 确认输出 N 个文件 (Confirm N files), then click 开始切割 (Start splitting). Previews expire after 30 minutes; create another when expired.

Each run creates a new name_job-id/ folder. Running the same book or album again uses another folder; it does not append to the previous job. Names follow 01 - Title.format and keep the original list numbering when some items are deselected.

Invalid characters such as / \ : * ? " < > | become underscores and long names are truncated. Book/album and track names cannot be blank; preview rejects them.

Existing files are not overwritten. Each segment is produced and verified before publication under its final name. For 输出文件已存在或目录不支持安全发布,未覆盖文件 (file exists or storage does not support safe publication; not overwritten), keep existing files and choose a writable location supporting safe publication. Changing only a folder name may not solve a storage-capability problem; do not delete earlier results first.

Tags and cover art

Outputs receive the current title, album/book name, artist or author/narrator and track number. The total comes from the original analysis list: selecting only the second of three tracks can leave 2/3, rather than 1/1. Old chapter marks and old metadata are not copied through directly.

Cover art comes from the first source audio's embedded image, or cover.jpg, folder.jpg or cover.png beside the selected audio/CUE file. When readable, it is scaled to a maximum long edge of 1000 px, embedded in M4A/MP3/FLAC, and saved as cover.png in the output folder. WAV does not embed it. Missing cover art does not prevent audio splitting and does not trigger an online search.

Saving the separate cover can fail after audio outputs succeeded, leaving an overall failed status. Check the job message, per-file results and actual folder instead of relying on the task color.

Tasks while splitting

  • Reading and splitting jobs run serially; at most four may wait or run. Progress shows the current file, completed/total and failure count.
  • Each segment is generated in temporary storage and its duration checked. A difference exceeding 0.15 seconds reports 输出曲目长度与章节不符,未发布此曲目 (duration does not match; this track not published), without publishing that segment under its final name.
  • Source access, output permissions and licensing are checked again before generation/publication. Revoked access or licensing can stop a job; completed files remain.
  • Other tracks may continue after one fails. A job-wide error may also happen after some files were written. Use per-item results.

Stopping a task

Click 停止 (Stop) in the progress area, wait for a terminal state, then open history:

  • Completed files remain. Cancelling does not undo output or rewrite source audio.
  • The current item may have just finished or may have stopped; use history and the actual file, rather than the moment you clicked.
  • Normal cancellation cleans the current temporary file. Power loss or an abnormal process exit can leave .leelaa-…partial files in the output folder. They are not completed audio; preserve and inspect the situation instead of treating them as playable results.
  • Closing the page, switching to history or signing out does not stop a background job.

To export the remainder, read the input again, deselect successful items, check the remaining selection, then preview and execute. A new job uses a new folder; organize successful files from both runs yourself.

Processing History

处理记录 lists the latest 100 visible split jobs. This is a display limit, not a promise that older records are automatically deleted. Ordinary NAS accounts see their own jobs; the administrator can see all jobs and old unowned records. Audio-analysis jobs do not appear in this list.

StatusHow to interpret it
等待处理 / 处理中 (Queued / Running)Waiting or running; not a final result
已完成 (Completed)Execution ended; check the output count and spot-check files
部分完成 (Partial)Some succeeded and some failed; inspect individual results
未完成 (Failed)A job error, possibly after some outputs; check the actual message
已取消 (Cancelled)Stopped by a user; completed files remain
处理曾中断 (Interrupted)Service stopped before completion; no automatic resume

Open a job for names, start/end times, 已输出 (Written), or 失败 (Failed) and the reason. If 打开输出目录 (Open output folder) is shown, use it; otherwise find the actual output path on your storage device. A record does not prove files have not subsequently been moved or deleted.

Interface example: book titles, tracks, paths, and processing results are sample data.

After a service restart

Unfinished jobs become 处理曾中断 (Interrupted). Already-published files remain; missing outputs are not regenerated automatically. Sign in and inspect each item before deciding what to redo.

Chapter analysis, audition data and plans are temporary. A restart or newer analysis can clear an older one. Re-reading resets renamed tracks, cut-point edits and selections; keep your own notes for a long book if needed. History depends on retained app data; outputs depend on the chosen shared folder still existing.

Originals, backups and recovery

Source audio and CUE sheets stay read-only. There is no Undo split action or one-click reassembly of outputs into the original. Keep the original, correct the plan and create another batch if a result is unsuitable. Do not delete source audio to save trial-run space.

History is a results list, not an audio backup. Back up important originals and outputs independently. Clearing app data deletes the corresponding accounts, settings and records. The License Center's .lltf / .llab files contain licensing material, not audio, cut-point edits or job history. See License Center.

How licensing interacts with tasks

Reading, auditioning, previewing and execution require valid licensing. It is rechecked while processing. For 授权状态已变化,处理已停止 (license changed; processing stopped), inspect completed outputs, let the administrator restore licensing, then read and process the remaining items again.

Sign-in, viewing existing history and stopping your own jobs are independent of media-processing licensing. If an ordinary NAS account has no license-management button, contact this app's administrator; do not delete data or purchase twice to continue.
